Charles Russell Speechlys advises the management sellers of Membr on its sale to Xplor Technologies

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the management sellers of Membr on its sale to Xplor Technologies.

This acquisition will allow Xplor Technologies, a leading global platform that combines SaaS solutions, embedded payments, and Commerce Accelerating Technologies for “everyday life” businesses, to bring a premium club management software solution to the fitness industry and further expand its global footprint. The addition of Membr to Xplor Technologies will enable the company to go to market with a new compelling solution for gyms of all sizes, known as Xplor Gym.

Jack Malin, CEO & Founder, Membr, commented:

“Thank you to Andrew, Jeff and the team for their support on this important transaction, their advice was absolutely integral to its timely success. Andrew and CRS have been close alongside us since we founded the company in 2010, through our growth capital funding rounds and on to our successful exit with Xplor, and it has been a long and happy relationship for both of us.”

Andrew Clarke, Corporate Partner, commented:

“We were delighted to support the management team on the sale of Membr and look forward to seeing how Xplor Gym grows in the market as a multi-market gym operator.”

The team was led by Corporate Partner, Andrew Clarke and Associate, Jeff Carvell. The wider team included Robert Birchall, Lewis Currie and Arjun Thakrar (Tax), Mark Bailey, Janine Regan and Willemijn Paul (Commercial).
