Olivia Gray, Senior Associate

"My usual day sees me working on a number of different matters ranging from trade mark registry disputes; advising on IP protection strategies for developing businesses; considering potential intellectual property infringement matters with regard to copyright, trade mark or design rights and/or working on ongoing disputes in the courts.   No two days are the same and the variety of tasks and clients is what keeps the job interesting.   Home life is busy chasing after an active toddler. Pre-Covid may have seen the occasional trip to the theatre after work or dinner out with a friend but now usually culminates in a glass of wine and the TV!"

  • Try to get some fresh air before climbing the stairs to my “home office”
  • Emails; Lexology and other alerts on recent case law/developments. On a Tuesday, the team weekly workload meeting
  • Make a start on the ‘To Do list’
  • Check in with the partner to discuss new or ongoing matters
  • Meetings (virtual!) and/or calls with clients
  • Internal meetings or calls to discuss progress on various internal collaboration projects
  • Nursery pick up and/or bathtime and bedtime for my daughter.
  • Catch up on tasks from earlier in the day / action any emails that have subsequently come in.
  • Cook dinner (or give in to a takeaway)

Communication; attention to detail; teamwork and enjoying a busy and varied day.

Culture at CRS

Collaborative and ambitious but with a very human side. My colleagues are both interesting and interested - in each other and also in their clients’ lives and businesses.
