Charles Russell Speechlys advises Derwent on Francis House letting to Edelman

Charles Russell Speechlys advises long-standing client Derwent London plc on the letting of Francis House in London to global communications firm Edelman.

Francis House is currently undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment, due to complete in H1 2022. Edelman has agreed to lease the entire c.38,200 sq. ft. for 15 years with a tenant break option at year 10.

The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Fiona Edmond, with Mark White and Chris Busaileh leading a combined Real Estate and Construction team, supported in particular by Helen Coward (Partner, Tax) and Amy Shuttleworth (Associate, Real Estate). Over the course of the last five months the Charles Russell Speechlys Real Estate and Construction teams have advised Derwent on the letting or pre-letting of both recent retrofit projects on their Victoria estate, totalling c. 70,000 sq. ft. of space.

Emily Prideaux, Director of Derwent London, said:

"We are delighted with the continued support from the Charles Russell Speechlys team on our Victoria estate. Charles Russell Speechlys worked seamlessly with the Derwent London team to bring this transaction to a successful conclusion, following on from the letting of 6-8 Greencoat Place to Fora earlier this year."

Fiona Edmond commented:

"I am thrilled with the outcome for Derwent London, who are a key client of the firm. This is another example of outstanding teamwork demonstrated by Charles Russell Speechlys in bringing various specialists to bear in order to ensure a smooth transaction for our client. We very much look forward to seeing the finished refurbishment and to Edelman taking occupation."
