Charles Russell Speechlys advises Grant Thornton as nomad and Tamesis, Ashanti and Azure as joint bookrunners on Trident Resources plc’s admission to AIM

Charles Russell Speechlys have advised Grant Thornton UK LLP (as nominated adviser) and Tamesis Partners, Ashanti Capital and Azure Capital (as joint bookrunners) on the successful placing of shares and admission to AIM of Trident Resources plc, a growth-focused diversified mining royalty and streaming company.

Trident’s admission to AIM followed a successful placing, raising gross proceeds of £16 million (approximately US$20 million) from the issue of 80,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 20p per share. Trident plans to rapidly establish itself as a diversified mining royalty and streaming company by constructing a portfolio to broadly mirror the commodity exposure of the global mining sector, with a bias towards production or near-production assets.

Paul Arathoon commented “Given the current market conditions, particularly with a larger number of existing listed companies undertaking secondary issues, successfully raising money for a new IPO is impressiveWe were delighted to assist GT and the joint bookrunners in the transaction.”

The team at Charles Russell Speechlys, led by Corporate Partner Paul Arathoon, included Corporate Associate Emily Dobson.
