Mary Perham writes for Insider Media on pre-sale planning, with input from our corporate and private wealth teams

The sale of a business is a significant and often once-in-a-lifetime event and there are seemingly infinite considerations which a well-advised entrepreneur may entertain to ensure not only a smooth sale of their business, but also one which maximises and protects their gain.

In an article for Insider Media, and with input from others lawyers in our corporate and private wealth practices (Mike Barrington, Jamie McMurray and Tabitha Collett), Mary Perham, Senior Associate in our private client team, sets out key considerations for businesses and business owners who are seeking to protect their private wealth in the event of a business sale, floatation or liquidity event.

In the article, Mary and her colleagues give advice on a range of issues, from sale structures and various types of available relief, to managing potential disputes and preparing for the unexpected.
