In a feature for the Law Society Gazette, Catherine Baksi, explores the latest issues, trends and problems for media lawyers. In her piece, she quotes Duncan Lamont, Consultant, on the Leveson Inquiry.

Duncan acknowledges that the inquiry improved standards but argues that it ‘cost a vast amount of money and time' and 'didn’t achieve what we hoped’.

The ‘tragedy of Leveson’, he alleges, was that many witnesses for the newspapers lied, which meant that the scale of malpractice did not come out.
