Charles Russell Speechlys expands Paris offering with hire of restructuring and insolvency specialist

Charles Russell Speechlys is strengthening its restructuring and insolvency offering with the hire of Dimitri Sonier into its Paris office.

Dimitri is a restructuring and insolvency specialist with over 20 years of experience advising on insolvency proceedings, debt restructuring on a voluntary basis and company turnaround and recovery issues, affecting debtors, shareholders and creditors.

He also regularly works with companies as well as individuals, in the context of commercial and banking litigation or potential liability cases.

Simon Ridpath, Managing Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys, said:

“In these unprecedented times and with the impact of the current pandemic on businesses, we are seeing increased demand for restructuring work across all offices and this is expected to continue. Dimitri’s experience and reputation will enable us to service current client demand and to continue growing our capabilities in our Paris office. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm”

Dimitri Sonier said:

“The opportunity to join Charles Russell Speechlys, an international firm with a strong standing in the restructuring industry, is an exciting one for me and I look forward to working with colleagues from across all offices as I continue to grow my practice and look to secure even larger cross-border mandates.”

Dimitri started his career working for insolvency practitioners in both Paris and London, before working for a number of specialist insolvency and corporate firms including PwC.
