The Athletic quotes Daniel McDonagh on the Red Bull case and what this tells us about multi-club ownership

Multi-club ownerships are becoming more and more popular in world football. The Red Bull and ENIC cases tell us a lot about what is and what is not acceptable - and why this potentially matters for Manchester United.

Daniel McDonagh, Associate, provides comment for the Athletic:

"The same owner cannot control a majority of shareholder voting rights or have the power to appoint and remove a majority on the board for more than one club in UEFA competition."

"The Red Bull case sets the parameters for what constitutes having 'decisive influence' in more than one club and specifically it determines that the bar is high."
