About

Sophie acts for landowners, developers and investors on all aspects of planning and environmental law. She advises on planning applications, appeals and enforcement cases and negotiates planning agreements with local authorities. Sophie provides specialist planning advice in respect of Community Infrastructure Levy, nutrient neutrality and heritage as well as on planning aspects of real estate and corporate transactions.

Sophie is admitted to practice in England and Wales.

Experience

  • Negotiating section 106 agreements for residential developers and landowners, including in respect of strategic land developments in Kent and West Sussex and significant residential developments both inside and outside of London.

  • Advising a number of the Great Estates in London on a range of planning issues including Community Infrastructure Levy, stopping up and Listed Building Heritage Partnership Agreements.

  • Advising on planning appeals including managing a review of a minerals permission appeal in Surrey and an enforcement appeal in Ealing.

  • Advising on varying planning permissions for a commercial scheme in central London through section 73 and 96A applications.

  • Advising on potential enforcement issues in relation to London based schemes including advice on certificates of lawfulness.
