About
Sally works with clients who have complex family, financial or personal circumstances, helping them put clear, practical plans in place that reflect both their current needs and long‑term objectives.
Estate and succession planning
Sally advises on all aspects of estate and succession planning, including inheritance tax planning, the use of trusts and wider family governance arrangements. She regularly supports clients with significant personal or business assets, as well as those with international or multi‑jurisdictional considerations.
Her advice is shaped around each client’s family dynamics and priorities, and she works closely with other professional advisers to ensure that arrangements remain appropriate as circumstances change.
Sally’s expertise allows her to guide clients and their families through lifetime planning and estate administration, often acting as an independent executor or trustee when needed.
Mental capacity and Court of Protection work
Sally also works on mental capacity and Court of Protection matters. She advises clients and their families on lasting powers of attorney, statutory wills, deputyship applications and ongoing deputyship issues.
She frequently acts as a professional deputy or attorney, often in sensitive and complex situations. Clients value her calm, pragmatic approach and her ability to explain difficult legal issues clearly at what can be an emotionally challenging time.
Charities and philanthropy
Sally also advises individuals and families on charitable giving and philanthropic planning, helping them structure donations and legacies in a way that aligns with their personal values.
In addition, she works closely with charities and not‑for‑profit organisations, advising on legacy administration and supporting the development of legacy campaign literature.
Long‑term client relationships
Many of Sally’s client relationships span decades, and in some cases multiple generations of the same family. This long‑term perspective allows her to provide advice that evolves alongside changing family, financial and business circumstances.
She is known for taking the time to understand what matters most to her clients and for offering solutions that are practical, proportionate and sustainable.
Additional roles and memberships
Sally is a director of the firm’s independent Trust Corporation and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
