She has substantial experience with complex and high-value disputes, which often have international elements to them. Those disputes are mostly in the Financial Services sector, the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector and the Energy & Natural Resources sector. Lucy has the experience of litigating in the High Court, but also in resolving disputes through arbitration, mediation and other alternative means of resolution.
Lucy is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
Experience
- Acting for corporate clients in connection with an alleged $9 billion fraud litigated in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands
- Acting on numerous of multi-million pound cases for the Central Bank of Bahrain in relation to Awal Bank BSC when it was in administration
- Acting for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in an ICSID arbitration brought against it relating to an aluminium smelter
- Advising a national bank in relation to the complex enforcement of a foreign multi-million pound judgment, a case which went to the Court of Appeal
- Acting in a complex and novel case where our client obtained an injunction that resulted in there being eight weeks to prepare for an eight-day trial
- Acting in a complex pensions fraud matter and related English proceedings
