David specialises in family law, including divorce/dissolution and financial disputes, private law children matters, and nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
David has significant expertise in relation to Schedule 1 financial disputes between unmarried parents, including enforcement and/or variation of court orders, and financial claims following an overseas divorce. He regularly advises on financially complex cases involving trusts, asset tracing, non-marital and inherited wealth, and the protection of family and non-marital wealth through cohabitation and nuptial agreements. David is also experienced in sensitive and complex children matters, including disputes concerning living arrangements, international relocation, and child abduction.
David regularly advises high profile clients in the sports industry and he has considerable experience of international and cross-border work, in particular involving Scandinavian jurisdictions.
David is admitted to practise in England and Wales. He is a member of Resolution, the Contentious Trusts Association (Contra), and the British Association for Sport and Law (BASL).

- Acting in a number of jurisdiction disputes, including securing jurisdiction for UHNW individual and negotiating financial settlement out of court
- Securing significant financial award for a vulnerable client in a complex financial remedy proceedings after an overseas divorce, involving non-disclosure, offshore trusts and variation of nuptial settlements
- Advising parents seeking to obtain the return of children following an abduction, and acting for parents in relation to the international relocation of children
