About

Rebecca is experienced in both transactional and dispute work in respect of a large range of construction, infrastructure and regeneration projects. She advises on a wide range of disputes including adjudication, mediation, and litigation proceedings as well as project advisory work prior to the crystallisation of a formal dispute. Rebecca also advises employers, contractors, and sub-contractors on all forms of construction documentation including JCT, NEC, ICC and bespoke forms of construction contracts.

Rebecca is qualified to practice in England and Wales.

Experience

  • Successfully advising  a large rail contractor in multiple adjudication proceedings and a High Court pre-action disclosure application brought by a sub-contractor in relation to the valuation of two interim applications, specifically relating to the true value of variations, delays, loss and expense and contract works.

  • Advising a large sub-contractor in adjudication proceedings in relation to a final account dispute under a JCT contract governed by US law.

  • Advising a London developer in relation to a multi-million-pound dispute in the High Court regarding purported defective works in a number of super prime residential properties.

  • Advising a main contractor in TCC proceedings in relation to multiple payment disputes.

  • Advising Countryside Properties on its award-winning developments at Rochester and Ark Soane.

  • Advising a sub-contractor in adjudication proceedings and successfully resisting enforcement proceedings of the adjudicator's decision.

  • Advising a large sub-contractor in a multi-million- pound dispute in the TCC regarding the ambit of interim applications and pay less notices under a JCT contract and the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.
