About

Sadie acts for a wide range of landowners and developers to provide strategic planning advice on predominantly residential and mixed use developments and on transactions.

She regularly negotiates complex planning and highways agreements with local authorities, and also has experience in contentious matters including planning appeals and enforcement matters.

Experience

  • Undertaking due diligence on land purchases, including conducting reviews of subsisting planning agreements and analyzing the impact of restrictive conditions for mixed use developments on behalf of investors.
  • Drafting and negotiating planning obligations, including those with complex viability review mechanisms for major developments in London.  
  • Providing strategic planning advice on the use of s.96A and s.73 to allow a purchaser to adapt a multi-use development to suit its retail purpose.
  • Advising on enforcement issues for a listed building, including securing the withdrawal of criminal proceedings against an education institution.
