Rupert advises on business transactions of all kinds, with a particular focus on private acquisitions and disposals, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures and fundraisings, often with a cross-border element.
Rupert is based in Zurich and his clients include companies (based in Switzerland and elsewhere), family offices, banks, trust-houses, high-net-worth individuals and business owners. He is particularly active in the TMT, Energy and Natural Resources and Retail and Leisure sectors.
Rupert is admitted in practice in England and Wales and the British Virgin Islands (as a BVI solicitor).

- Advising a major UK leisure and sports brand on its acquisition and entry into the Swiss market.
- Advising the founders of a Swiss/ UK based business on various financing rounds and commercial matters.
- Advising a UK based private equity boutique and co-investors on the sale of a Swiss data centre business.
- Advising an international sports federation on the development of a new international sporting league.
- Advising a UK company and its Italian subsidiary on its seed and venture capital rounds.
- Advising the investment office of a family office on its venture capital portfolio. The advice included equity and debt-refinancing and encompasses a number of European jurisdictions.
- Advising a privately owned Swiss based trust administration business on its acquisition of a major Swiss based bank’s trust business.
- As part of the private wealth team in Switzerland, advising a number of individual clients on the reorganisation of their private wealth holding structures.
- Advising a UK public private partnership (in the energy technology sector) on a number of its co-investments, venture capital, venture debt and divestments in the UK, Europe and the USA
