He advises insurers, asset managers, wealth managers, and investment companies on all aspects of their business; from set-up, flotations, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures to governance issues.

Experience
- Insurance: Advised on numerous business transfer schemes for insurers, including the Scottish Life demutualisation, the dissolution of a friendly society and for brokers on policy reviews and regulatory advice
- Financial services M&A: Advised on acquisitions, disposals (including the disposals of Crown Agents Bank to Helios in 2015 and of Mayfair Capital to Swiss Life in 2016), start-ups and governance issues; he is particularly experienced in dealing with LLP structures
- Funds: Advises investment trusts and managers, including Fidelity, and on real estate and private equity fund formations
