Kristie has experience in divorce and family matters, including cohabitation, separation and divorce, issues of jurisdictions, child care and custody matters, financial applications, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, injunctions and non-molestation orders, relocation and holiday removal applications, wardship, and applications in relation to child abduction under the Hague Convention.
Kristie also deals with matters related to surrogacy and parental orders. She has participated in some of the most high-profile surrogacy cases before the courts of Hong Kong.
Kristie has been named by Doyle's Guide 2024 as a ‘Family Law Rising Stars (Hong Kong)’. She has also been recommended for her expertise in Hong Kong family related matters by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025.
Kristie is admitted to practise in Hong Kong. She speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Experience
- Advised client in matrimonial proceedings involving assets of over HK$450 million in several jurisdictions.
- Advised client in a cross-jurisdictional divorce in relation to financial settlement of assets over HK$150 million
- Advised client in an application for a parental order for children born under surrogacy arrangements, which explored the impact of Chinese nationality law on the permanent resident status of children.
