Kieron McHale, Associate

Kieron specialises in construction and engineering matters and has experience advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious work in both a domestic and international context.


Prior to joining Charles Russell Speechlys, Kieron worked in Qatar for 3 years, primarily focusing on dispute resolution in the construction and oil and gas sectors. He combines legal expertise and commercial understanding to advise on a range of different projects across various sectors. Kieron’s work includes advising employers, contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants on a range of issues including contractual interpretation, drafting, enforcement proceedings and claims.

Kieron is admitted to practise in England and Wales.

Experience highlights

  • Advised contractor in a multi-million pound dispute relating to the refurbishment of the Khalifa International Stadium (Qatar), venue for the final of the 2022 Football World Cup
  • Acted and advised in construction arbitration matters under LCIA (London), DIAC (Dubai) and ICC rules, including the drafting of pleadings, procedural orders and instruction of expert witnesses
  • Lead advocate in an high value ICC arbitration seated in Doha, Qatar relating to the wrongful termination of a property management agreement
  • Experience of providing legal advice to engineers, quantity surveyors and other technical professionals in the Construction Industry
