Katie's practice is dedicated to providing strategic advice to some of our Firm's most prominent and historic landed families and their trustees.

Katie combines her understanding of traditional private client work, including tax, trusts, estate planning, and capacity issues, with specialised knowledge in agricultural law and heritage exemption. This allows her to deliver comprehensive guidance that is not only tailored to the different needs of families managing significant properties and estates but also anticipates their evolving requirements over time.

With a forward-thinking approach, Katies ensures that our clients are prepared for the future, adapting strategies to meet their ever-changing needs and preserve their legacy for generations to come.

As a qualified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP), Katie is committed to upholding the highest standards in estate planning and trust management.

Katie is admitted to practise in England and Wales and welcomes the opportunity to assist you with your legal needs.

Experience

  • Advising on complex personal tax and trust matters for high net worth individuals, families and trustees, in relation to many different ownership and occupation structures.
  • Working closely with landed estate owners, their trustees and their professional advisers, in relation to a range of taxation, trust and succession planning advice.
  • Advising business owners on tax and succession issues, including passing assets to the next generation tax efficiently, whilst retaining proper provision and control for the current generation.
  • Advising in relation to the implementation of "Balfour" holding and trading structures.
  • Advising individuals and trustees in relation to the availability of heritage reliefs.
