About

Kate typically acts for high net worth individuals, trusts and institutional clients in relation to a broad spectrum of transactions including sales, purchases and mortgages.

Kate also advises in relation to agricultural tenancy matters under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 and Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 and has experience of tenancy restructuring for strategic land use or renewables projects.  She also acts in relation to commercial leases against an agricultural backdrop as well as advising on unregistered conveyancing and estate management matters such as easements, restrictive covenants and sporting rights.

Kate is herself from a farming background which enables her to identify with clients in the agricultural sector and the issues that they face particularly in the evolutionary times of the present.

Experience

  • Advising in relation to the sale of an historic country house and grounds for 7.5 million with service occupancy arrangements and complex unregistered and registered title issues.
  •  Assisted with a £9 million farm sale comprising arable land, farm buildings, multiple dwellings and glamping business.
  • Assisted on the property aspects of a partition of trust assets and subsequent refinancing.
  • Advising in relation to an equestrian lease for a client in the bloodstock industry.
