Jamie’s experience includes a wide range of private family law matters, including contested divorces, civil partnership dissolution, financial relief, pre/post nuptial agreements and arrangements for children on separation.
Jamie acts for and against individuals across a broad range of industries and backgrounds – including the sports field, entrepreneurs and those with wider family wealth. She has clients based both in the UK and globally, with a reach beyond Europe in the Middle East, North America and elsewhere. She has a strong interest in dealing with businesses and complex trust assets on divorce.
Complementing her experience in dealing with finances on separation, Jamie is a particular specialist in private law children work and her cases are often cross jurisdictional. She advises individuals on wide-ranging arrangements for their children, including internal and external relocation. She has specialist expertise in matters of parentage, including at Court of Appeal level, and wide-ranging experience in dealing with domestic abuse matters, and cases involving drug and alcohol use.
She regularly contributes to various publications and legal sources, including the mainstream press, and she collaborates widely on thought leadership initiatives. As one of the partner ambassadors for SafeLives – a charity partner of the firm – she actively helps to run and promote the charity’s Cultural Change Training programme within the family law profession. Jamie also has a wide-ranging pro bono practice.
Jamie joined the Firm as a Trainee in 2007, qualified in 2009 and was promoted to Partner in 2018. She is Deputy to William Longirgg - Head of the Family Group.
Jamie is admitted to practise in England and Wales and is a member of Resolution and she is a qualified Mediator.
