Helena is a Central Knowledge Development Lawyer. Her role combines the provision of specialist, technical advice with a strategic, commercial focus, ensuring our internal Knowledge is maximised for the benefit of our clients. Helena supports the Director of Knowledge to facilitate Knowledge sharing, implement the firmwide Knowledge strategy and harness GenAI and other technologies to drive efficiencies. Helena is a creative, innovative thinker with a client-centric approach.

Experience
Helena is an experienced senior commercial lawyer with a proven track record in both private practice and in-house. She is a technically-skilled, versatile lawyer with an enabling and pragmatic approach and has been a trusted advisor to both business and corporate stakeholders, including at senior executive level. As Assistant General Counsel at FTI Consulting, Helena advised the EMEA business on a broad spectrum of legal risks & issues (incl. commercial contracts; disputes & litigation; employment matters; data protection; intellectual property; new office openings) and managed a team with 5 direct reports. Helena’s previous role in the Data Protection & IP Legal team at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) comprised the provision of legal advice to stakeholders across LBG in relation to: data protection; IP & brands; digital marketing; horizon scanning & risk reporting. Having started at LBG in the Transformation Legal Change & Delivery team, supporting the end-2-end legal, regulatory and strategic changes impacting LBG, Helena is also skilled in regulatory advice, legal risk management, project management and the implementation of large scale change projects such as Brexit. Helena completed her training contract at a London-based law firm and qualified in the Ship Finance team where she spent 2 years as an associate before joining the Banking team at a second London-based law firm.
