Giorgia Ligasacchi is specialised in art advisory, art wealth management, and corporate art collections. She provides consulting services in the fine art and collectibles sector, assisting clients across old, modern, and contemporary art. Her tailor-made solutions support the creation, enhancement, and protection of artistic heritage, ensuring long-term value preservation. She also develops strategies for the planning and management of art collections, including insurance, conservation, and legal compliance.
Giorgia offers consulting services to companies and banks in the organisation and curation of contemporary art exhibitions that enrich corporate spaces and reflect company values. She collaborates as a lecturer with universities, business schools and art academies. She regularly contributes to newspapers and specialised publications on cultural heritage, art consulting, and collecting. Furthermore, she organises and manages training courses and conferences on artistic, economic, and legal disciplines.
Giorgia earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in “Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage” from the Catholic University of Milan. Before joining Charles Russell Speechlys, she gained valuable experience at an Italian law firm specialising in art law and art advisory, as well as at a major fine art insurance company.
Experience
- Assisting Italian and international HNWI with the acquisition, management, and sale of individual artworks or entire collections via auction houses, fair, galleries, or private negotiation.
- Assisting corporate clients in preparing memoranda and reports following legal and artistic due diligence on artworks and related documentation, highlighting any risks or issues identified in cases of a sale and/or fair value adjustments of the artworks in the financial statements, with reference to corporate art collections or corporate museums.
- Advising Italian and international clients on the procedures with the Ministry of Culture for the temporary or permanent circulation (export and/or import) of artworks and cultural heritage.
- Advising clients on the archiving and authentication of artworks, managing relationships with foundations, archives, and institutions responsible for providing opinions on the accuracy of the autograph.
- Advising corporate clients on the management of corporate art collections and on the design and curation of exhibitions in line with their objectives, brand identity and corporate culture.
