He is recognised for his expertise in guiding clients through the tax and legal implications of relocating to Italy, including under favourable regimes such as the Lump Sum Tax Regime and the Impatriate Regime. Gabriele also advises on the tax treatment of complex income items, including carried interest and other equity-based incentives, as well as on sophisticated wealth planning structures such as trusts and similar instruments. He further assists clients in designing and implementing bespoke estate planning strategies aimed at the efficient transfer of wealth to the next generation, including in connection with the acquisition and disposal of high-value assets such as real estate and works of art.

Gabriele has been listed in the eprivateclient NextGen 2023 list and is listed in the Private Client Global Excellence directory.

Gabriele is admitted to practise in Italy as a Chartered Accountant and in England and Wales as a Solicitor.

  • Assisting a senior manager of a private equity firm in obtaining a ruling from the Italian Revenue Agency on the treatment of the carried interest from several complex fund structures under the Italian lump sum tax regime
  • Advising the founder of a highly valuable company on the design of his estate planning involving succession and tax implications in Italy, Switzerland and the UK to ensure that his descendants would be able to benefit from the profits generated by the company without the ownership being fragmented after his demise 
  • Advising a Jersey trustee on the Italian tax consequences of the termination of a trust holding valuable Italian real estate through an offshore corporate structure
