Francis I Rojas, Of Counsel
Francis specialises in international corporate/oil and gas structuring, M&A and private equity investments involving public and private companies and their shareholders, as well as advising executives and families respecting their international assets.
Francis’s legal practice involves advising HNWIs, family offices, PE and VC firms, financial institutions and trustees on their international structuring, tax and trust planning, and investment planning, with a particular focus on advising on bilateral investment and tax treaty structuring, global tax minimisation, and asset protection (expropriation) aspects. In recent years, his practice has focused on international structuring and investments involving family offices and funds, as well as advising HNWIs, executives and families respecting their international assets and relocation.
Francis has extensive experience in structuring investment and operations in North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. He has also been active in advising clients on issues related to the use of international holding company structures and continues to provide strategic input to private banks, trust companies and family offices globally.
Francis is a regular speaker at conferences and regular contributor to various legal and media publications.
Francis is admitted to practice in Quebec, Canada, and is registered as a foreign lawyer with the Law Society of England and Wales and the Ordre des Avocats de Geneve. He has law degrees from Canada and the U.S.
