Francis specialises in corporate finance transactions, encompassing equity capital markets, private investments, private equity and venture capital projects, as well as various forms of public and private mergers and acquisitions across Hong Kong and the broader Asian region.
Francis possesses significant experience offering counsel on corporate matters to companies in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and other Asian countries, and previously served as a regional investment banker director, where he primarily advised on equity capital market transactions.
Francis is admitted to practise in Hong Kong. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Experience
- Acting as underwriters’ counsel or issuers’ counsel for more than 60 companies across a wide range of industries, including shipping and coal trading, retail business, steel manufacturing, food and beverage, garment and clothing, chemicals, construction materials, toll roads and infrastructure, automobile parts and components, real estate development, catering, telecommunications, computer software, logistics, transportation, biotechnology, and medical and healthcare products, in their start-up investments, business restructuring, and initial public offerings in Hong Kong and other Asian markets.
- Representing enterprises in China in negotiating and structuring private equity investments and other related matters.
- Advising on a number of syndicate loan transactions and the issuance of commercial papers, notes, and negotiable securities.
- Representing a number of listed companies in Hong Kong on compliance and regulatory matters, transactions, and statutory filing and disclosure obligations.
