Ed advises fund managers and sponsors of funds, real estate companies, developers and investors as well as family offices and individuals.
He advises clients on a variety of operational, procedural and constitutional matters including key man and carried interest arrangements, management/exclusivity/placement agent agreements, development manager appointments, managed accounts, side letters, terms of reference, financial promotion, investor disputes, risk management and reporting and regulatory matters. The structures Ed works on often have an offshore element.
Ed has acted for some of the UK’s largest real estate companies, asset managers and pension funds and some of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. In addition, he acts as trusted advisor to a number of HNWIs and family offices.

- Advising a UK asset manager sponsor on the establishment of a Jersey domiciled fund investing in UK REITs
- Acting for a start-up fund manager sponsor in respect of its own establishment and the establishment of a series of UK focussed Jersey and UK domiciled real estate funds
- Acting for a US real estate fund in connection with its secondaries acquisition of interests in a Cayman domiciled fund with a UK care home portfolio
- Advising a UK debt fund in connection with structuring advice including Eurobond listing on TISE
- Acting for a UK real estate fund in connection with its JV arrangements with a national utility company in respect of the development of a Central London mixed-use site
- Acting for a UK developer/asset manager in connection with its joint venture with a global private equity company and the redomicile of the joint venture vehicle from Luxembourg to Jersey
