About
Dana is a member of the Construction, Real Estate and Engineering and Projects team. She assists international and local companies on various commercial real estate and construction matters (both contentious and non-contentious).
Prior to qualifying, Dana has worked on various construction projects during her training seat in London. She assisted in reviewing standard form building contracts, drafting consultant appointments as well as preparing advices in relation to a number of issues like contractor / sub-contractor delays, employer claims, termination etc.
More recently, Dana has been actively involved in drafting project community documentations as well as commercial leases. Moreover, she has also been involved in assisting with reviewing and amending regionally recognised construction contracts such as the FIDIC 1999 and 2017 suites.
Dana is admitted to practice in England and Wales and is in the process of securing her Bahraini qualification.
Dana is also fluent in both Arabic and English.

Drafting and advising on a commercial lease agreement for the purpose of running a school in a mixed use development community.

Reviewing and drafting F&B and retail leases in respect of Souq al Baraha in Diyar al Muharraq.

Reviewing a suite of hospitality agreements for a proposed hotel development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Reviewing and amending a construction contract based on FIDIC 1999 in relation to certain fit-out works to be carried out to a commercial office located in Bahrain. The expected contract costs are circa BHD 1 million.

Assisting Bemco in their ICC arbitration proceedings relating to Dukhan Road East Project regarding variations, termination and counterclaims.
