Anita and the team provide a broad service, including Deputyship applications concerning a client’s personal and financial affairs, approval of gifts, tax planning and Statutory Wills. Anita also provides ongoing financial management for those under the Court of Protection. In addition, Anita has expertise in the residential property market working with high net worth private individuals and offshore companies/trusts purchasing, selling or mortgaging freehold or leasehold properties.
Anita is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
- Acting as Deputy for an elderly widower who suffers from Alzheimer’s and who lost his wife recently, and dealing with the ongoing management of his financial affairs. Applying to the Probate Registry for a grant of letters of administration to his late wife’s estate, and applying to the Court of Protection for a statutory Will to be put in place as his current Will is out of date
- Acting for a lay Deputy to assist her with an application to the Court of Protection for authority to withdraw additional capital from the patient’s investments, and fighting the local authority’s decision to remove the patient from her funded placement
- Acting as Deputy for a client who had suffered a brain injury as a result of medical negligence, including acting as a litigation friend in his divorce proceedings
