About

Amelia has experience with a broad range of dispute resolution procedures including adjudication, mediation, international arbitration, and high court litigation. Her clients include a wide range of developers, contractors, funders, and consultants. She assists with  all types of construction documentation including various forms of Construction and Engineering contracts, as well as, numerous bespoke forms.

Amelia also has in-house experience, having completed a secondment within the rail and infrastructure divisions in the one of the largest design engineering, and project management consultancies in the UK, Atkins Limited.  Amelia  has direct experience with  the requirements of organisations working within the infrastructure and engineering sectors.

Amelia is admitted to practice in England and Wales.

Experience

  • Advising one of the world’s leading offshore wind farms regarding all  their non-contentious construction work in relation to wind farm operations, including advising on procurement and drafting/negotiating their suite of contracts.

  • Advising  a major contractor in a £4 million claim regarding underfloor heating at a large residential development in the Technology and Construction Court.

  • Advising  a major UK harbour board in successfully bringing a £5 million adjudication in relation to defective cranes.

  • Advising  a major M&E engineer in a multi-million-pound internal arbitration against a contractor regarding a final account for a large residential development in Abu Dhabi.
