Alex’s experience encompasses a wide variety of project types including (i) housing, infrastructure (rail, water), commercial (retail, office), hotels, energy and resources (LNG, oil & gas), defence (aircraft, nuclear) and process engineering (coal, bitumen); (ii) projects in the United Kingdom, continental Europe, north Africa and Australia, and clients from a diverse range of countries; (iii) JCT and NEC suites of contracts, as well as client-specific and bespoke contracts; (iv) disputes at all levels including mediation, adjudication, arbitration and Technology and Construction Court proceedings.

- Mediation of a multimillion-pound defects dispute concerning an iconic building in Canary Wharf, which was resolved with a favourable outcome for our client, a large contractor involved in the construction of the building
- Technology and Construction Court proceedings on behalf of a large UK housebuilder alleging professional negligence of a structural engineer in relation to foundation movement and cracking at a residential development in north London
- Preparing suites of consultant appointments, collateral warranties and building contracts in relation to various projects including 500+ residential units in south east London, serviced apartments and student accommodation in north London, and a hotel in central London
