Aimee advises private individuals and trustees on a wide variety of contentious trust, probate and court of protection matters. She has particular experience of both domestic and cross-border litigation involving trusts. Aimee has acted for trustees, beneficiaries and protectors in a broad range of trust disputes including breach of trust, issues of construction, enforcement of beneficiaries’ rights, applications for directions and claims involving protectors. She also has experience of dealing with commercial disputes involving trusts, freezing injunctions and asset tracing. Aimee also advises on succession disputes including challenges to the validity of wills, claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, estoppel claims and claims brought against executors. Often the claims involve Estates with assets in multiple jurisdictions. Her practice also includes contentious applications in the Court of Protection, in particular, statutory will applications and claims for the return of misappropriated assets.
