Aaron has significant experience in both income and estate tax matters, as well as federal tax practice and procedure.
He advises on tax structuring for investments and companies entering the US market, alongside domestic and cross-border compliance obligations. He also advises families with significant investment holdings on structuring their family offices, with a particular emphasis on optimizing financial outcomes following the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017.
His practice also covers international tax and estate planning and related trust matters with a focus on the structuring of intra-family and multi-family investment arrangements.
Having spent time working in Switzerland, Aaron brings valuable international perspective to his work, supporting clients with multi-jurisdictional considerations.
Aaron has taught courses in U.S. International Taxation at domestic and international universities, including the University of Connecticut School of Law and the Université of Lausanne in Switzerland. He is widely recognised for his thought leadership and regularly writes on tax developments, with contributions to publications including The New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg BNA Daily Tax Report, Law360 and Compliance Week.
Aaron holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College, a J.D. from William and Mary School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
