Charles Russell Speechlys advises Acora on acquisition of Computer Service Centre

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised leading IT managed services provider, Acora, on its recent acquisition of Computer Service Centre Ltd (CSC).

Acora provide comprehensive infrastructure and desktop support services, business software and cloud solutions to over 300 clients in the financial, legal, insurance, professional services and other sectors. CSC specialises in providing high-quality managed services to SME customers across a wide range of sectors. Based in Norwich, it has around 100 key customers in the south-east of England and East Anglia, and across the UK.

The transaction takes total Acora group staff numbers above 500 and adds significant new regional presence in the east of England.

We are proud to support Acora as they continue their build and buy journey. This is now the fifth bolt-on acquisition on which we have advised the company. Since August 2020 the Firm has advised Acora on acquiring Veber, followed by Westgate IT (July 2021), M9 IT (November 2021) and Secrutiny (April 2022).

David Hemmings, Acora’s Chief Acquisition Officer, commented: “I would like to extend my thanks to the Charles Russell Speechlys team for their invaluable legal advice. They have great experience in the managed services sector, understand what matters and know how to execute an effective process to timetable”.

Corporate Tech Partner, Mark Howard, commented: “It has been a privilege to support Acora on this fifth acquisition. The deal demonstrates our strong expertise in the IT managed services and software sectors, and we look forward to working with Acora on future deals.”

The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Corporate Tech partner Mark Howard and supported by Ashwin Pillay, James Scott and Marc-us Ong. The team also included Rob Birchall, Tess Newman (Tax), Susan Mitchell, Sophie Blackmore (Banking), Eddie Richards and Lynsey Inglis (Real Estate).
