Charles Russell Speechlys have advised Taylor Wimpey UK Limited and Vistry Homes Limited, on the disposal of their interest in the Cambourne Business Park

Charles Russell Speechlys LLP have advised Taylor Wimpey UK Limited and Vistry Homes Limited, members of the Cambourne consortium, on the disposal of their interest in the Cambourne Business Park, which has been acquired by a partnership of South Cambridgeshire District Council and Hill. The price paid was in excess of £12m. The land was originally designated as part of an employment zone in the new town, but will now be promoted for about 275 residential units.

The matter was dealt with by Neil Bucknell, who commented “Cambourne New Town has delivered 4250 new homes, a new retail centre and a number of community facilities to create a lively new settlement that is now the administrative centre of South Cambridgeshire district. It is in many ways a pathfinder for the new generation of garden settlements now being delivered across the country, and continues to grow, with a further 2350 dwellings and further community facilities now being provided by our clients at Cambourne West. It demonstrates that mainstream house builders can deliver new communities in a viable manner.”
