Charles Russell Speechlys proud to sponsor the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award at the final Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 awards
The 24th annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 awards took place on 19 May 2021. With welcome talks from Kwasi Kwarteng, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Josh Bayliss, chief executive of Virgin Group and Sir Richard Branson, the awards celebrated the successes of Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales.
This final Fast Track 100 awards highlighted the extraordinary contribution entrepreneurs make to our economy and showcased the companies featured in the Fast Track 100 list (published in December 2020). Megan Paul, Hamish Perry and Sarah Wigington from the Charles Russell Speechlys team attended the event and each hosted break-out roundtables.
Guests heard from keynote speakers James Watt MBE, co-founder & captain of BrewDog, the UK’s largest independent brewer, and Dr Gordon Sanghera, co-founder & chief executive of Oxford Nanopore Technologies, about managing rapid growth, responding post-pandemic, and international expansion.
As award sponsors, we presented the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ Award to VetPartners, the vet practices group, which has made more than 500 acquisitions, and last year grew sales to £340m with operating profits of £45m, the highest on the league table. Many congratulations to Jo Malone, founder & chief executive of VetPartners, and her team and all the winners on the evening.
