Charles Russell Speechlys advises Shore Capital as nominated adviser, broker and bookrunner on £56.5m fundraising for Helios Underwriting Plc
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised long-standing client, Shore Capital, as nominated adviser, broker and bookrunner on a £56.5m fundraising for AIM-listed insurance underwriters, Helios Underwriting Plc. The funds are being raised through a placing, subscription and open offer and the primary purpose for raising the funds will be to fund future acquisitions of Lloyd’s LLVs by Helios.
Helios is an AIM-listed investment company offering investors growth and returns from exposure to Lloyd’s. This is the second fundraising where Shore Capital has acted as nomad and broker for Helios in the last four months. The previous fundraising was to allow Helios to acquire four Lloyd’s LLV entities with the vision of providing a good spread of business being concentrated in property insurance and reinsurance. Charles Russell Speechlys also acted for Shore Capital as nomad and broker on this fundraising in November 2020.
