Charles Russell Speechlys advises Whitespace Software on the market-wide implementation of its digital (re)insurance platform

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised Whitespace Software, working with some of the world’s largest insurance and reinsurance companies, on the market-wide roll-out of the Whitespace Platform. The Whitespace Platform is an end-to-end digital (re)insurance trading platform intended to modernise and digitally transform the way that contracts of insurance are entered into between insurance brokers and carriers.

Marcus Broome, Chief Platform Officer at Whitespace Software said: “This was a long and potentially difficult contracting process, with many parties and multiple advisers involved. Chris and the team from CRS helped us through the complexities and contributed constructively to the “let’s make this happen” attitude that developed within all the insurance market firms engaged in the negotiations.”

Chris Ingram, Senior Associate at Charles Russell Speechlys, commented: “We were delighted to have worked with Whitespace on the roll-out of the Whitespace Platform, which we see as an important step in the digital transformation of the insurance sector. It is great to see that more than 50 firms are already on board, and we look forward to seeing the platform user base continuing to grow.”

The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Senior Associate Chris Ingram and Partner Mark Bailey, members of the Charles Russell Speechlys Commercial and Technology Team.
