Charles Russell Speechlys advises the Raymond Brown Group, backed by Elysian Capital, on the sale of Raymond Brown Waste Solutions Ltd to Collard Group Ltd
On 18 October 2019, the Raymond Brown Group sold its waste management business, Raymond Brown Waste Solutions Ltd (RBWS) to Collard Group Limited, (Collards), combining two of the biggest names in waste management in the South of England.
The newly combined business operates from nine recycling centres across five counties from Hampshire to Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. The acquisition propels Collards further into the top-tier of waste companies with the capacity to process over 1 million tonnes of waste and recycling every year.
Elysian Capital first acquired the Raymond Brown Group in 2016 and CRS has provided ongoing legal advice to both the Group and Elysian Capital as majority shareholder since completion of the acquisition. The sale of RBWS is the first disposal to be made by the Group, with James Cunningham of Elysian Capital commenting that CRS:
“Given their ongoing involvement with the Raymond Brown Group since Elysian’s original investment in 2016, the CRS team were able to execute the legal aspects of the transaction efficiently and ensured a smooth process.”

We wish RBWS every success as part of the Collard Group.”
