Charles Russell Speechlys launches start-up programme during Unbound Festival in Bahrain

On 7 March 2019, a comprehensive programme was launched by Charles Russell Speechlys during the Unbound Festival in Bahrain, designed to inform start-ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs about the legal challenges and opportunities facing them. Moderated by Mark Hill, the programme allowed delegates to learn more about the legal issues they can face on their journey and how best to deal with them.

Rupert Copeman-Hill was one of the panelists, focusing on start-up legal structuring issues and angel and VC investments into start-ups. The panel members also included  Buthaina Amin (Director of Legal Affairs, Bahrain Economic Development Board), Marwa Aleskafi (Head of Program, Brinc Batelco IoT Hub) and Suzanna Kalendzhian (Co Founder & CEO, LegalAdviceME.com). The panel session looked at the often crucial and complex area of Intellectual Property, in particular why it is important, what to protect and how to protect it.

The workshop focused on some of the key mistakes often made, the 7 Top Legal Tips for Startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs.
