Charles Russell Speechlys appoints new Pro Bono Legal Director

Charles Russell Speechlys is expanding its Pro Bono practice with the appointment of Kerry Stares as Pro Bono Legal Director.

Kerry was previously at TrustLaw, the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono programme, the world’s largest pro bono innovation and connection platform. Before that she was a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills where she successfully led a team of lawyers acting pro bono for Liberty and Justice, interveners in a human rights appeal to the House of Lords.

Kerry also worked at ActionAid as a Senior Private Sector Advocacy Advisor for a number of years. She brings with her a wealth of experience that will help her to drive our pro bono initiatives forward in a meaningful way.
