Charles Russell Speechlys advises the Civica Group on the acquisition of the OneStep Solutions group
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the Civica Group (an investee company of Partners Group) on the acquisition of specialist software provider, OneStep Solutions (OneStep).
With offices in Huntingdon and Hadleigh, OneStep provides cloud-based application software and related services to support the complete debt recovery process. Its products are used by local authorities and commercial agencies in over 1,000 installations, supporting all aspects of recovery and case management for office, call centre and field agent teams.
The acquisition brings specialist capability which the Civica Group does not currently offer and extends Civica’s presence and expertise in existing and adjacent sectors and the combined product set will enable the Civica Group to deliver increased value for customers.
Malcolm MacDougall, Corporate Partner and Head of Private Equity, commented on the deal “we’re delighted to have advised long-standing client Civica on their first deal since the acquisition of Civica by Partners Group, a leading global private markets investment manager, from OMERS Private Equity. The OneStep deal further adds to our Corporate team’s experience in the TMT sector, a key growth area for the firm.”
The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Corporate Associate Lucy Thorpe and Corporate Partner and Head of Private Equity Malcolm MacDougall, and comprised Corporate Associates Alex Stevens and Dafni Loizou, Corporate Tax Senior Associate Robert Birchall, and members of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Intellectual Property teams.
