Charles Russell Speechlys host EIS Association Autumn Technical Seminar
We were delighted to host the recent EIS Association Autumn Technical Seminar, chaired by The Lord Flight. Guest speakers included, among others, Robert Birchall and Rebecca Burford from Charles Russell Speechlys’ corporate tax and corporate teams (respectively), who walked attendees through an EIS case study.
The seminar covered a range of topics including a tax and technical update, an update on the Patient Capital Review, a regulatory update on MiFID II and PRIIPs and an overview of advance assurances.
Investing in an EIS company is often an appealing alternative for small businesses to raise funds, due to the many tax reliefs investors benefit from including capital gains tax deferral, income tax relief, capital gains tax relief incentives, inheritance tax relief and capital loss relief.
