Charles Russell Speechlys advises longstanding client IFS on the acquisition of mplsystems Limited and Field Service Management Limited
The Charles Russell Speechlys team is pleased to have advised longstanding client IFS, the global enterprise applications company, on the acquisition of mplsystems Limited and Field Service Management Limited.
mplsystems Limited is a provider of omni-channel contact center and customer engagement software that, together with IFS’s leading Service Management offering, provides a complete end-to-end customer engagement solution. Field Service Management Limited, an implementation specialist of Field Service Management solutions in the UK and Ireland will bolster IFS’s Service Management sales, consulting, and support organisation in the region.
Commenting on the acquisitions, Fredrik vom Hofe, Group Senior Vice President for Business Development at IFS said “IFS is already recognized as a global leader in the Service Management sector, which we are extending further with these two acquisitions. The opportunity resulting from the acquisition of mplsystems will mean that businesses around the world who want to deliver the best customer service from the moment a customer makes an enquiry through to an issue being resolved, now have the most complete and connected service management proposition available on the market”.
Mark Howard, Corporate partner and Joint Head of our TMT sector, advised IFS on the acquisition of mplsystems Limited and Corporate partner, Jonathan Morley, advised on the acquisition of Field Service Management Limited.
Mark commented: “We are delighted to have worked with IFS on these two important acquisitions. We know from our retail clients the increasing demand for software and IT related solutions to support omnichannel strategies and so we can clearly see the strategic opportunity for the enhanced Service Management proposition that the acquisitions bring.”
Speaking of the deals, Andrew Binstead, Vice President Group M&A and Strategy at IFS said: “We enjoyed working again with the Charles Russell Speechlys team. Their in-depth and joined-up understanding of IFS’ business and expertise in the Technology sector was particularly helpful when conducting due diligence and negotiating appropriate protections in the acquisitions documents. They have the ability to combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, ensuring that they are always on top of the things that matter.”
The Charles Russell Speechlys team working with Mark and Jonathan on the deals included Joint TMT Head and Commercial partner, Mark Bailey, Corporate associates Nicola Baird, Edward Robinson and Olivia Mackie, Martin Griffiths and Alison Stagg (Tax), Richard Davies and Tanya Wilkie (Commercial), Jonathan McDonald (Data Protection), Andy Williams and Rebecca Lawton (Employment and Pensions) and Edwin Richards and Usman Khan (Real Estate).
