Charles Russell Speechlys advises on sale of Worksmart Technology to Arrow Business Communications
The Charles Russell Speechlys team are pleased to have advised the founder and other shareholders of Worksmart Technology Limited on the sale of the company to Arrow Business Communications Limited.
Worksmart Technology is an award-winning provider of cloud-based telephony and video conferencing services together with audio visual design solutions and telephony applications.
Chris Russell, CEO of Arrow, commented: "The key reason behind this acquisition is Worksmart's expertise in delivering enhanced hosted voice platforms, which are becoming increasingly popular to customers wanting to migrate away from on-premise based solutions. Overnight we have doubled our number of hosted seats and connectivity sales and added depth to our technical and product offering. Worksmart is a great fit for us and I welcome all of the team at Worksmart to Arrow".
Mark Howard, Corporate partner and Joint Head of our TMT sector, who led the team at Charles Russell Speechlys commented: "Chris Daines and his team have worked incredibly hard over a number of years to build an excellent business and we are delighted to have assisted them on this critical sale transaction. The move to the cloud and hosted solutions is a fundamental infrastructure trend affecting all businesses and Worksmart were in the vanguard. We wish Chris every success in his next venture."
Speaking of the deal, Chris Daines, founder and MD of Worksmart said: "The support and insights provided by Mark Howard and his team were invaluable. They understood our business, and they understood us as people, delivering advice aligned to our commercial goals and personal circumstances. We would not hesitate to recommend them to other entrepreneurs and management teams considering a corporate transaction."
The Charles Russell Speechlys team included Thomas Watts (Corporate), Alison Stagg (Tax) and Zoe Dudgeon (Employment).
