Charles Russell Speechlys appoints Heather Maizels as a Senior Adviser
Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed Heather Maizels as senior advisor to strengthen its leading position as private wealth lawyers, particularly amongst global families.
With a lengthy career in private banking and wealth management and following several years as an investment banker advising corporates and sovereigns, Heather started and ran the private bank at Barclays. She was Head of the UK Private Bank for seven years before moving to the Advisory Boards of Barclays Private Bank and Barclays Wealth and Investment, where she created client programmes around family business, family philanthropy and art wealth. More recently, she has grown a consultancy business for family offices working alongside client advisers worldwide.
