Corporate team recognised by South East Dealmakers Awards 2017
The recent Hydralectric Group buy-in management buy-out, led by incoming Chairman Andrew Bristow and backed by Rockpool Investments, has been recognised at the South East Dealmakers Awards 2017 as the “Deal of the Year for Transactions Under £10m”.
Charles Russell Speechlys advised new and existing management in relation to the transaction, which completed in October 2016.
Established in 1976, Hydralectric is a leading specialist manufacturer of premium quality flexible hoses and supplier of added value solenoid valves, pumps and water controls. Hydralectric’s new management team aims to build the business into an established market leader and to be one of the region’s major employers. The judges were impressed that the deal was “successfully funded through the Enterprise Investment Scheme, coupled with complementary investment to boost a manufacturing business in the region”.
Andrew Bristow, Chairman commented “We are confident that the experience and relationships brought by the existing management, incoming CEO and Rockpool team, will provide a strong platform for growth for the company in the coming years. To be recognised for this award is a fantastic opportunity to promote the company and provide a boost to the business, further encouraging the new combined management team to lead the company to the next level.”
Geoff Sparks, who leads the Corporate team in Guildford commented: “We are pleased to see Hydralectric recognised with this award. We look forward to supporting many more clients in the South East on their growth strategy, supporting the local community as they do.”
The South East Dealmakers Awards celebrate leading players in the region’s corporate finance community. Charles Russell Speechlys was also shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year and Geoff Sparks was shortlisted for Corporate Lawyer of the Year.
