Dementia UK named Charles Russell Speechlys' Charity of the Year for 2016
We are delighted to announce that Dementia UK has been chosen by partners and staff as Charles Russell Speechlys’ Charity of the Year for 2016.
The firm will fundraise for Dementia UK with the aim of helping the charity provide a new Admiral Nurse service, delivering compassionate expert care and support to families living with and affected by dementia.
As part of the partnership, staff have arranged a calendar of fundraising events including taking part in a Welsh 3000s Challenge (walking up 15 mountains over 3000 feet in 48 hours) and holding tea parties in March for Dementia UK’s national Time for a Cuppa campaign.
Senior Partner and chair of the CSR Committee, Christopher Page, said:
"We are delighted that Dementia UK will be at the centre of our charitable fundraising for 2016. We hope that we will be able to make a difference to the charity's positive work.
"We look forward to supporting the work of Dementia UK and hope that our contributions help the work they do by offering specialist one-to-one support and expert advice for people living with dementia through their world-class Admiral Nurses. "
Martin Bishop, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Dementia UK, said:
"We are really thrilled that we have been chosen as Charles Russell Speechlys Charity of the Year and we look forward to working with them during 2016. "
