“Stop press” – Deadline for representations on HS2 Environmental Statement extended…AGAIN
As reported in our previous “Stop Press”, the House of Commons Standing Order Committee had ruled that the deadline for responses be extended until 10 February 2014.
This has now been extended further following the House of Lords Standing Order Committee reviewing the decision of the House of Commons Standing Order Committee and deciding that the time given was still insufficient – particularly in the light of the missing 900 pages.
HS2 Ltd has therefore been required to further extend the deadline to make representations on the Environmental Statement to Thursday 27 February 2014. HS2 Ltd have released a press statement saying that they are happy to comply with this new deadline.
