CMA launches abuse of dominance investigation into Apple’s terms and conditions for app developers

The CMA has launched an abuse of dominance investigation into Apple’s terms and conditions for app developers.  The CMA’s investigation will consider whether Apple has a dominant position in connection with the distribution of apps on Apple devices in the UK – and, if so, whether Apple imposes unfair or anti-competitive terms on developers using the App Store.  Click here.

Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum publishes first annual plan of work

The Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum has published its first annual plan of work.  The CMA, the Information Commissioner’s Office and Ofcom formed the DRCF in July 2020 to provide a forum for cooperation in relation to the regulation of online platforms.  Click here.
